FROM THE TOP:

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Miss Vonny has been singing and dancing  since she was a teenager, involved in high school musicals, writing songs during classes, playing various roles in her high school musicals and even co-wrote the her class graduation anthem, with her two friends and presented it at the class of 2001's Graduation Ceremony.  At 18 only Vonny was ambitious and immediately auditioned for and  attended the Australian College of Entertainment in early 2002 . She Majored in Vocals, Business Studies and minored in dance  and  over the next few years Vonny was writing and recording tracks at a recording studio in Sydney called  Groove Town Studios for what eventually would be her debut solo album.

In 2006 Miss Vonny was given an opportunity to fly to the United Kingdom to co- write and record with incredibly talented music producers Doug Boyes and Dave Boardman of  2Db Music production, furthering her writing skills and together they wrote the final tracks that would then be added to her first album. " I can't say enough great things about that experience, Doug and Dave are two of the most talented writers and producers I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I would love to work with them both again one day, the Cello the harmonies the key changes the orchestral arrangements were not of this world, so moving so beautiful. I look back very fondly at that experience." - Miss Vonny

In 2008 Miss Vonny, then simply known as Vonny, teamed up with management in hopes of shopping her album to local record labels.  Though the feedback was positive the major take away was that the A&R Reps suggested Vonny  take her sound abroad as the market was much more vast and perhaps her sound would better suit that market, and so that is exactly what this now 24 year old determined songstress did. " We set up meeting after meeting, I just knew that the USA, was where I was meant to be, there were no promises, no safety nets, I just took the leap"- Vonny

USA BOUND:

Miss Vonny embarked on a journey to the United States in 2008, where she made Austin, Texas, her home with hopes of  kicking off a career in music, in a city known for being the music capital of the world she worked with Texas Icons Rock Band Vallejo who had produced many talented artists became her music  producers. "When I met the guys, it was immediately like gaining three more brothers, we laughed worked together and even had disagreements like families do, I learned so much just being in the studio daily, and being there opened doors for me to work with other up and coming artists in town."  - Vonny  From 2008 to present, Vonny developed her sound and  displayed  an array of talents, she was singing , dancing and writing  her own music.

ICE QUEEN CHRONICLES:

Miss Vonny released  her debut album titled "Ice Queen Chronicles" in 2010 and stayed busy as a working musician, doing guest performances with Austin local bands, recording  backup vocals, appearing in several music videos  and even lending her voice to radio commercials. and joined the Pop Electronica band known as Dead Love Club in 2011, and her back up vocals can be heard on their album titled " Chronic Electronic". Miss Vonny also did a cameo in  the music video for the song titled "Lover ", performing live with the band  all over Texas and still performs on occasion with them to this day. " I loved it then and I love it now, the outfits, the style of music and of course the band, so many years growing together they will always be family."

I'LL SHOW YOU SHE CAN SING/DANCE/ACT:

In 2012 she  joined the 90's pop cover band, The GoGo Dolls as one of three lead singers in the high energy all girl group performing all over Texas.  When the band parted ways it happened to be around the same time the renowned band Rotel and the Hot Tomatoes were searching for a new member and just like that Vonny joined the hardest working girls in show biz as the "Red Tomato",  along with an eleven piece band comprised of some of the most talented musicians Austin has to offer. This band was life changing forming bonds with her bandmates and traveling  all over Texas on a tour bus named "Orange Crush".

"The routines and songs were a new challenge for me, learning American classics, the songs were split into three part harmonies and separate parts coming from a solo performers stance that was a challenge remembering who does what line ,  all the dance routines and costume changes needed a different kind of endurance, and as much as I had travelled and performed all over I had never been on a tour bus before then either, that was a first for me, it was exciting and I felt the pressure to catch up to the girls that had been in the group a while.  The other big first was using in ear monitors, which I still have a love hate relationship with.  On one hand you can hear yourself and get a perfect mix on the other hand sometimes the wigs we were wearing would put pressure on them and it would be painful on occasion. I loved performing with Rotel and their fans are truly something else, it was an incredible experience, and if James (manager and drummer of Rotel and the Hot Tomatoes) were to call me right now I wouldn't hesitate to jump on stage with them again" - Miss Vonny

Balancing work and music Vonny continued to work on her craft and released her single "U WANT IT" along with her first music video in 2013, and included some of her girlfriends in the music video and changed her name to Miss Vonny upon the release of this single, the pop/ dance track had a more edgy look.  " The name "Miss Vony" came from a combination of two things, Texas Southern manners, when I would meet people they initially addressed me as Miss Vonny, and the other is that being a female in the industry comes with its frustrations and it got to a point where I would be working with all these people and say we need to change this, or add that and they would respond with, yes MISS Vonny, and so it stuck - so there after Miss Vonny it was" - Miss Vonny . The iconic Electrical Tape picture from the single "U Want It" was a Teresa Jolie, AMAZING photographer and now producer concept along with some of the most incredible pictures I've ever taken, the electrical tape pic, lol it HURT!," says Vonny   "It was meant to be this other kind of tape that sticks to itself but we lost it on the day of the shoot so we went through and committed to what we had on hand which was electrical tape!".

THEN AND NOW:

From 2013 to present Miss Vonny has continued to grow, performing in her own solo shows throughout Austin titled Miss Vonny Live, and still performing as a Sub for Rotel and the Hot Tomatoes, performing with Dead Love Club and started her own hair and makeup business called Vonteez hair and Beauty  and developed her own brand known as MVred.

"MVRed encompases everything I believe and stand for, red and black has always been a part of my look and it also represents confidence, self worth and passion. I wanted to create a brand that empowers women embraces all shapes sizes and styles, as for music it has been a while since I've sat down and written music, I was scheduled to go back into the studio with VMG, (Vallejo Music Group) in 2016 but I had to cancel due to a family emergency back home in Australia. When I came back it took a while to get back into the groove and so I chose to work on developing MVRed and teaching vocals rather than try and write when I honestly for a good minute had not felt very inspired musically."- Miss Vonny

WHATS NEXT:

"I love teaching and performing, I believe I'll get back in the studio at some point, right now I want to focus on expanding my brand, MVRed  is my passion, and I very much enjoy teaching vocals to the next generation of singers, something I never knew how much joy it would bring me until I began teaching. Music is my first love, I know I have a lot to say still and when the time is right, I will release more music, so grow with me, join the MVred nation and make em Red with MV."
